Alumni Graduation Awards

Every year, Masterman’s Alumni Association distributes scholarships to deserving seniors. These awards help to lessen the financial burdens that students incur when going to college.

   • Donated By Alumni To Honor Mr. Goldman It Is Given To An Individual Who Will Pursue A Career As A Math Teacher Or A Math Related Field

   • Award Given To A Student Who Has Demonstrated Positive Spirit And Outstanding Potential

5. MCGOWAN FAMILY AWARD 
   • For Strength Of Character While Daring To Be Excellent

   • Award In Honor Of Mr. Paul Scaer, Former Masterman Librarian It Is Awarded To A Student Who Has Demonstrated A Positive Outlook And Creative Spirit 
7. HBCU AWARD
   • Given To A Student Who Will Be Attending An Historically Black College Or University
   • Award Amount: $500
8. KREY FAMILY 
   • Award Given To A Well Rounded Individual Of Indomitable Spirit Who Has Made A Positive Contribution To Both School And Community. 
   • Award Amount: $500
     
9. CLASS OF 2010 
   • Award Amount: $750

10. CLASS OF 1989/1991

    • Award Given To A Young Woman Who Will Pursue A Career In Computer Science Or A Related Field

    • Award Amount: $250 (Each Award)
    • Given To An Asian Student Who Has Demonstrated Inspiring Leadership 
15. SHANTEL MCCOY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
    • Presented By The Class Of 1997 –This Award Seeks To Award An Individual Who Possesses Personal Perseverance, Persistence In Their Studies, And An Innate Understanding Of The Effects Of Hard Work, Effort And Application In Their Studies Towards The Achievement Of Their Own Academic And Personal Goals. These Were The Characteristics Of Shantel In Her Life, And In Her Work. The Class Of 1997 Is Proud To Honor Her And To Award This Scholarship In Her Name And Memory.

    • Given To A Student Who Will Be Attending The University Of Pittsburgh ,Who Exhibits An Extreme Interest In The University And The City Of Pittsburgh. (Essay Required)

19. HELEN CONROY FOREIGN LANGUAGE AWARD 
    • For An Individual Who Has Demonstrated An Interest In Foreign Language. 
    • Award Amount: $500
20. 1999 PHENOMENAL WOMAN AWARD 
    • Given To An African American Female For Academic Achievement 
    • Award Amount: $500
21. CLASS OF 2000 AWARD 
    • Masterman’s first graduation class of the latest millennium was a spirited bunch.  While the strived to achieve academic excellence, we also had lots of fun with each other, and exhibited a tremendous amount of school spirit. (1 Minute Video essay submission required)

    • Given To An African American Female Pursuing A Career In Either Math, Science, Engineering Or Finance.
